New York Times bestselling author and screenwriter Michael Chabon has revealed he is ready to retire from the world of fiction after “The Great Goatsby” and “The Gatsbys” are out of print.
“I was really, really depressed,” Chabot, who was born in Germany and now lives in New York City, told The New York Post.
“The Greats” and its sequels “The Da Vinci Code” and The Gatsbits” were both hugely successful films that were both adapted from Charles Dickens’s novels.”
But the Great Goetsby is the one that’s the best of them all,” he said.”
That’s the book that everybody will be reading for a long time.
“We don’t want to be a part of the Great Gates of literature, but we can’t stay away.”
Chabot said he has not written a book since the first book, “The Greatest Show on Earth” in 1996, because he didn’t want people to know that his family had suffered and died.
He was initially encouraged by the success of the film, which has been a huge hit in the United States and around the world, and is being adapted into a film of sorts.
But after the success in the US, he said he decided it was time to move forward.
“It was my greatest disappointment that I didn’t write more of that,” he told the Post.
“I’ve always had an appreciation for books, but it was not until ‘The Da Vincis’ that I started to really think about the way that my life is written.”
And now it’s really important that I go out and write more, because I’ve just been reading so much about books, and I’m starting to think that I’ve been reading for too long.
“He said he had a feeling that it was only a matter of time before “The Goats” would be out of the public eye.”
This is the first time that I’ll be able to write a book in the public sphere, and then maybe I’ll write a movie,” he added.”
Then I’d have a chance to write books that would be about books and that would make sense to people.
“People want to read about books now, but that’s only part of what books are about.”
Champagne is an Australian author and editor.
He is the author of more than 80 books, including “The Golden Rule” and the acclaimed novel “Atonement” which won him an Academy Award for best novel.
“My father died a few years ago, and he died from cancer,” he wrote in an email.
“So I’ve lived for years with his loss, and for the last few years I’ve worked very hard to get my writing published, but this is really hard.”
He told the Times he has a passion for books and had written several books about his father, including the autobiography “The Forgotten Life”.
“I hope that people will enjoy my books,” he explained.
A spokesman for the publisher Penguin Australia confirmed it had not heard of Chabote’s decision to retire.
“He was not available for comment,” said the spokesman.
The spokesman said that Chaboti had been approached by Penguin Australia and would be able “to provide a response within a week”.
“He will no longer be writing in the UK or the US and has not signed a contract to do so,” the spokesman said.
He added that Chavitz would be “evaluating his options” in the coming weeks.
